Thank you to our Donors!

The Spinal Cord Injury Association of Virginia wishes to thank everyone who made generous donations as part of our annual year end fundraising appeal. It was our most successful campaign and we are especially grateful to all those who were able to participate and support the mission of our 501c3 non-profit organization!

This year we able to offer a very special incentive to all those who were able to contribute fifty dollars or more. For each $50 donation, donor's names were placed into a prize drawing for a chance to win one of four custom made pieces of jewelry which were graciously donated by Caryl Watterson, owner of Frogs And Snails Jewelry and Art

The winners of the 2011 annual appeal drawing
were as follows:

1.Bob Bayton: Winner of a Sterling silver necklace with matching earrings

2. Debra Blackwell: Winner of a Sterling silver choker with moonstones, with 2 natural rough faceted aquamarine pendants, beautiful earrings to match as well as huge moonstone ring, size 8.

3. Mary Hopkins: Winner of 2 pairs of "BLING-BLING EARRINGS". One pair is with lovely tiny white topaz and white pearls, other one is a beautiful pair of honey champagne topaz.

4. Jong Park: Winner of a lovely FLUORITE necklace with matching earrings.

The beautiful jewelry was graciously donated by Caryl Watterson, owner of FrogsAndSnails Jewelry and Art. According to Watterson, her creations can best be described as "Mother Nature in her very best colors!!!" Her work can currently be seen at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Gift Shop.

For those of you who missed this 30 minute program which aired on Henrico County's HCTV channel 17 last summer, it is now available online at: henrico-va.granicus.com

Producer Roberta Fountain did an impressive job of blending the insight of medical professionals, those living successfully with a Spinal Cord Injury (SCI) and their friends and family into a program which helps explain and de-mystify the changes which typically take place post-injury.

Those interviewed include: Terry Glenn, Billy Perkins, Steve Fetrow, Corbin Ensign, Matthew Deans, Richard Bagby, Dr. William McKinley & Dr. David Gater.
